You have to request your insurer to file an SR22 with the IN Bureau of Motor Vehicles. The insurer will charge you a processing fee, which varies between agencies. You can request a quote from a state-authorized agency in your area. The insurer usually files the Indiana SR-22 auto insurance within 30 days of your request. If your filing is accepted, you will receive the SR22 along with a letter from the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles. The Indiana SR22 car insurance must be maintained for three years.
